Tickets have now gone on sale with Virgin trains.
Prices without railcard discount start at £16 singles.
The more common route is via Preston, however you can also go via Stockport/Bolton.
If these tickets fill up Manchester is another option, although this is the more expensive route, in the region of £35 return.

These were prices as 20.04 5/8/130 -
all booked up worked out at 28 return with a railcard going via bolton stockport and then onto blackburn may split it up with a few beer stops on the way as there is very little in blackburn.0
