Reprecussions from the abandoned match

I've heard a 'rumour' that the board has decided to recall all seasons tickets and reissue with boarding passes.

Songs that have been adapted:

"Come on you reds" will be replaced with "Ahoy you reds"

"We can see you surfing out!"

A new one:

"The tide is high and we're going home and Charlton Athletic are our number one"

Anymore....?

Build a fish pond, build a fish pond
put the palace on the top,
put the millwall in the middle
and then drown the effing lot.

    Valley Floyd Rowed,
The waves rolling in from the Thames,

My desire is splashing around at
Valley Floyd Road.

    Many lengths have I swam,
many games have I seen,

Following Charlton the kings of the seas.
Many hours have I spent in the covered end boat,

    Singing Valley, Floyd Road,
it's always afloat.

    From Selhurst to Wet Sham,
Many years did we roam,

following Charlton on sea and on foam,

To follow our team every game we embarked,

    Singing Valley Floyd Road,
aboard The Skylark.

    Many miles have I travelled,
by sail and steam,

Following Charlton 'cos they're my wet dream.

    How about verse 2:

    Many isles have I travelled
    Many drains have I seen
    Following charlton my favourite stream
Many hours have I spent in the covered end mire
    Singing valley flood rowed
    My only desire.

I'm not saying we have a drainage problem down at the valley but I've heard that Paddy has been put on full flood alert this autumn due to the expected high levels of water from the morning dew.

Wet Team for the Donny Replay...

    Mike Salmon
    Bert "Sailor" Brown
    Mark Fish
    Danny Seabourne
    Gary Poole
    Jonny (Indian) Summers
    David Kerslake
    Eddie Marsh
    Derek Hales(tones)
    Gary (Admiral) Nelson

Struggled with an 11th player (actually struggled with a few more than that as you can see!!), so I'll put Amdy Faye in...as he was out of his depth and looked like he was drowning every time I saw him!!

    ;-)
