I think alot of it boils down to the value of the car they seem to want high value newer cars than older low value ones0

Was chatting to the guy who did our sale yesterday and that is definitely the case. There was a Porsche Cayenne and and Soft Top Audi TT in the garage when we left - both of which had been bought that morning. He said for higher value stuff they usually have a trader lined up to buy it. Just to find out how much they would offer me I put a car on one of those websites (we buy any car) and was offered £1,070 for it (less £100 admin charge), I sold it on Auto Trader for £3,350 (less £45 for the advert).0

What are Auto Trader like? Do you get loads of cold calls from other people saying "advertise with us" or are most people genuine?0

Try gumtree first
if you have a cheap car.
Autotrader was excellent a couple of years ago,but more for the expensive /specialist car.
Never had much luck with ebay, you can track a car for days and it goes crazy the last few minutes?. Expensive if you do not set a budget and get 'carried away'.
