Lee Clark deluded?

Lee Clark is a funny animal. Never smiles and always hard done by. Personally i too am generally against giving the ball back when kicked out by opposition for an opposition player but depends on the circumstances and allowances should be made. 3 possible options: 1. Muddle along and see this sort of thing happen again, or 2. Referee gets agreement between captains, or 3. Referee calls play back for ungentlemanly conduct, at his discretion. The latter option is probably already provided for in 'the rules' (?).0

Hate Lee Clark, but if Yeovil felt they had done nothing unsporting why allow them a goal back?
The fact they done it in extra time after equalising in normal time is wrong in my view. It should have been straight after or not at all.0 -

This. Bastard kicked the Che Hales flag but Yeovil were still wrong0 -
I met a bird last week who is a Birmingham City fanatic and actually works in the industry. Sounds to me like he is a very hard person to be around and there is more to him than meets the eye, if you catch my drift.0

The way I see it is that the player wasn't really injured as he got up as soon as the ball went out. Johnson, being frustrated by the regularity of this sort of thing happening encouraged his team to retain the ball. I understand his annoyance but this is against the 'spirit' of the game. ( A game where cheating the officials, feigning injury and trying to get your opponents sent off is prevalent).
He then calms down, reconsiders his actions and decides to put right what he did wrong. Fair play to him for this as he could have stuck to his guns.
He apologises to Clark, the fans and the Birmingham officials. Again, fair play for this.
So, he cocked up but then put it right which is a lot more than othe rmanagers would have done.
And how does Clark behave? Like a child. Spouts on about how he was brought up properly and that he is always fair. Yeah, right. In football? Bollocks. He has cheated and hoodwinked as much as any professional footballer has. And the anguish he displayed during that interview was pathetic.
He should have accepted what Johnson did, said how during the intensity of a game bad decisions are made and moved on.

i think people must remember that some jobs are ridiculously high stress and being a football manager is one of them. lee clark isn't perfect but the reason he said those things about them playing well against us is because the buck stops with him. the chairman likes to think it stops with him, or her if you are mansfield or west ham, but it stops with the manager. he has to pick everyone up and so he told a lie but imagine how someone would feel if their own club's manager said how crap they were. he annoys me sometimes, it is surprising he has a full head of hair. i think after a day as a fm i would be shatting myself. and everyone else will be too0

It does highlight an issue in the game - where the idea behind kicking the ball out is a sporting act which has a positive impact on the wellbeing and safety of the players, but one where it is exploited to waste time by most players/teams. I'n mot quite sure where I satnd on this- If you believe it is a time wasting ploy , I don't think it is a major crime to carry on!0

His team look terrible at present (watching on the box 3-0 down to Leeds) reckon he might be gone soon:-)0

Randolph made a bad error last time out when they played Bolton on Sky. Was he at fault for any goals today?0

For Leeds' first, he came out to soon and lost the ball to the Leeds player who fed it for McCormack to score.BigRedEvil said:Randolph made a bad error last time out when they played Bolton on Sky. Was he at fault for any goals today?

The first - came running out of his box and took a touch that went straight to a Leeds player rather than row z.
His reaction to the goal was hilarious though.0 -
Brum play Stoke in the Cup midweek, then Derby away - it's a make or break week for Clark.0
-
needs to look up not down, he looks so shifty and agitated its getting ridiculous0
-
Miserable git afterwards, very uninspiring. I would find it hard to play for someone like him - let's hope he keeps being miserable until after we play them !0
-
Not defending Clark at-all, but, apparently his man-management with Raval Morrison has turned his career around.0
