I don't get why people want a German team to beat an English team. Maybe it's just me.

Did it go over the one minute? They said there was 5 seconds left but the clock had gone from the screen.
If so are we now playing rugby rules?

I want to feel sorry for Lukaku but that was such a bloody dreadful penalty I just can't. Do feel a bit like Jose shouldn't have put a player so young in that position though

I agree ValleyGary, I would want ANY British team to win against a foreign team.

Personally thought terry would have had that 5th. Cant believe lukaku didnt even look at the ball stepping up for that

Never ever understood the stop start penalty stride. Most players do it and then don't even look up!!!

He wasn't mentally prepared for it I don't think. Sometimes the attempts to psych out the opposition are the player trying to take control of a situation they feel they can't cope with. Yann's pen is a good example of it as well. David Luiz has got it right - take a run up and smash it as hard as you can. At least then you've had a proper go

Right, I'm following Chelsea in this season's Champions League.

I can't stand Arsenal, would normally follow Man U but not really a Moyes fan and after that want them to beat the sausage munchers in the final. Like Jose also.

  • I am no Chelsea fan and I don't like penalty shoot outs, but surely every penalty should be scrutinised to make sure the keeper is behind the line when the kick is taken. For such a crucial event, surely the rules are the rules just as I totally accept the umpires bringing off the teams in the 5th test.

Tough on Chelsea I guess but they'll argue they won the important shoot-out against Bayern last year...

Prague can go on about German football all he likes but I'll never support a German team over an English one! ;)

    Scottish probably.

I can't stand Bayern. Seems most proper Germans fans feel the same way. Went to the pub and ignored the whole thing. They had to advertise it on citylights to make sure they had a crowd.

  • Another draw for Chelsea-well we all know mourinho does not count a penalty shoot out as a defeat.
