Bring back the Peanut Man.0

Yes it was London Pride at the Amex last season, not very imaginative. It was also flat, cloudy and almost undrinkable, if it was a pub without a long que I would of asked for my money back.

Same at the Allianz. Decent beer available, but that's because it's Germany. Nothing remarkable about the food, though.Acab said:Went to see Charlton play FC Roda a few years back. No money was taken over the bar or eating areas. When entering the ground you purchased a card from a booth, various amounts ie £2, £3 etc. A bit like the old BT phonecard. At the food/drink outlets beers were already poured out, food was ready. You ordered, put card into a terminal and it deducted the price. Took no time at all to get served and away. No one handling your money then wrapping a grubby mit round your pie. Works well for home fans as credit can be used at next match. Simple.

Heiniken have the pouring rights for the Valley now it seems
Never drink in the ground so don't know but is that a new deal or a continuation of an existing deal.
Which beers, other than their lager do they provide?0 -
heiniken? I've only ever seen fosters being sold.0

Yep, and £3.75 a go now. A mate got a bottle of Flying Scotsman on Saturday, they also do bottles of Magner's. Or it might be Bulmer's, same thing.0

Worst was burger from Gillingham about 5 years back. One bite and it was in thr bin.
Best was a hotdog at stonebridge road a few weeks ago. But maybe it was the spitfire I was drinking while watching the game that made it so nice.0 -
Best: Pie at Rochdale.
Worst: Arsenal and Wembley - Over priced, inedible tosh!0 -

You are right about the connection, Weegie: Heineken UK (which itself was formerly Scottish & Newcastle) bought Courage from its Australian owners (Foster's / Carlton & United) in 1995. The new group closed its breweries in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Nottingham, Halifax and Bristol, and transferred the remaining beers to John Smith's in Tadcaster. Heineken UK also owns Bulmer's Cider, the Caledonian Brewing Co., and the former S&N estate of around 2,000 pubs. The Courage brands are now brewed under contract by Wells & Young's in Bedford.Weegie Addick said:Heineken bought Scottish Courage a few years ago so think it is just an update of previous deal.
