Think ill give that one a miss
  • Is the pub opposite the ground still open?

If it's not I think we will have a few beers in Manchester and get a train a bit later.

Going Marylebone > Birmingham > Preston > Mill Hill on the way there and ending up at Euston on the way back.
  • Thinking of driving to this one, anyone been before know what parking is like?

Down the stairs at Stockport and turn left and left again. Up to the top of the path running parallel to the station then turn left.
In front of you is a pub called The Armoury, belting little boozer, locals quite friendly.
For Preston, at the top of the approach on the main road is a boozer opposite, name escapes but has SKY and pretty good.

Or you can just drink in the Preston Hero on the station. Got half hour to kill there on the way up so will pay a visit.
