Loan striker needed for Kermo?

If Kermo is crocked for a while who should we get in? I see Cole is possibly available..

    I have said for a while that I can't understand why we have not pursued Rob Hulse.

    I thought he did a good job for us last year and SCP liked him. I can't believe at 34 his wage demands would be extravagant.

    That is my point, we need an ok Striker to see us through the next couple of months whilst Yann is out.

    Unfortunately we can't call Smith back until January otherwise I would agree with you.

    Agree adjustment is part of the game and we have made some faltering strides in making that adjustment, and will have to adjust again when YK is fit. The thing is we looked so good in those games playing 3-5-2 against leicester and Watford, when he got injured late on, that the drop in form has felt so steep. Defeats against Huddersfield, Millwall and Burnley have followed then 2 more promising draws and we have got to see more of Sordell and Church. All part of the evolution of the current squad I think and any loan, even if it was possible would smell of panic to some extent.

    Mate, I'd expect a championship team to be able to cope without one of their forwards, but the fact is what we have left are either not up to the job or too inexperienced. Yann is more than 50% of our threat - not just goals - without him we are impotent.

    If we have no money for loans, then we get on with what we've got!
    Which is why giving stick to a young striker like Joe Piggot is so depressing. He is one of us (is actually going to be an OK to good player), and in my view ought to be encouraged and supported.

    Very true but this is what i mean about adapting. Sordell cant head but we still pump balls above him. Church rounds around a lot cos passes rarely find him.

    Hopefully, as swords_alive pointed out, we are slowly getting to changing that.

    Have I missed something or has the club actually said Kermorgant is out injured for the foreseeable future? Or is this just speculation or inside info?

    We do seem to be back to the bad old days of the Charlton injury Black Hole whereby a player disappears indefinitely.

    Even when he comes back, i really hope we dont start bypassing Stephens and Cousins. Will be a step back again.

    We have nothing to gain from announcing how long he'll be injured for, though. It may appease the fans, but it just gives our rivals extra information in their preparations for upcoming matches against us.

    feel for piggot has looked out of his depth but is still a young lad and some of the abuse is outrageous. does anyone really think thats going to help him or the team.not wilsons greatest fan either but again some sections of thr north upper wont give the guy a minutes peace from their abuse.

    The best way to play Joe is on the shoulder of the last defender in my opinion. Sad to say, but I believe we badly need an injection of better coaching.

    we either need a big guy up front to fill in - like Hulse did last season or we have to improve how we play on the ground in midfield like the second half of the Forest game...
    What is crystal clear to me is that we need a win soon before a gap opens up in the table... so if Kermorgant is not available after the break then something needs to happen.
    Interesting question from Stu as to how it is funded...simple answer is can the board afford to lose £3M of TV revenue if yhe club is relegated...

    The only way he would return is if he was injured.Even if he has returned he can't play for us until the transfer window opens in January because it was a permanent loan unlike a short term loan like Ade Azeez at Torquay.
