Bit quiet so thought I'd add this entry...... leading 1-4 with 18 minutes left. Away draws were our downfall this season, just two wins on the road but eleven draws. We finished just four points behind promoted Notts Forest who finished third. Hales and Flanagan amassed 41 goals between them in all competitions.

I was there. What a rollercoaster ride...and we so nearly lost it in the last few minutes. Wasn't this the same season as we drew 5-5 with Bristol Rovers?0

Didn't go to the game but remember hearing on the radio that we were 4-1 up and thinking it was "in the bag". My Dad then broke the bad news to me. What a p*sser. I can't imagine what you must have been feeling VMcM.0

No wonder games were so high scoring when you look at the quality we had up front compared to the defence.0

There was never a dull moment with that team! Goals galore at both ends! Here is a link for the results for that season:

What a game ...and we almost lost despite being 4-1 up! Lots of fireworks being thrown over by the Burnley fans and a fair bit of trouble after the game.0
-
Unbeaten in our last 13 games. We normally stop playing in March.0
-
Remember sitting listening to updates from Scoop Burrowes on LBC...you began to think it was physically impossible for Charlton to win an away game.0
