    Jay Lloyd Samuel to Villa.
  • Heard in the 1980s a team of Junior Reds went to Jim'll Fix It and were never heard from again ..... that counts right ?
  • Pennant played for Notts County, nothing to do with us at all.

Remember going to Villa and them announcing that Samuel was their "Academy Player of the Year" to much derision from the away fans. Sure it was done on purpose.

We lost me when I was a schoolboy.

I decided to stop playing* alongside Jason Tindall, Jamie Stuart and Lee Bowyer in favour of staying at 6th form before moving into a dead end job at WH Smith's head office

Sometimes I look back and think that maybe this wasn't the wisest move.

*technically speaking it wasn't my choice but you know...tomato tomarto

Richard Gough ? As far as I am aware he came to us straight from Uni, but it wasn't long before he was tapped, when I say tapped I obviously mean poached........sorry there I go again, I did ofcourse mean APPROACHED by another club, the rest is history.

Yes was there that day, famous 4-3 win...couldnt believe it when he was awarded the young player of the year trophy against us seeing as they poached him from us.....Never forget the jeers when the young fool paraded the trophy in front of us.....bad move by Villa that day.
