Jimenez set for second Court Battle

Comments

  • Aint that a surprise big tone can't be feeling the lurve
  • So am I right in saying Varney & airman both went to court but settled before the cases finished...would mean court case number 4 at least for Tone....wonder at what point the light switches on and he realises he should change the way he does business.

Am i being silly, or is that not really against Jiminez, but against the club (in which case, it is more aimed at the Chairman than the 'majority owner'?)

  • Against the club.

Only news appears to be the date.
  • Hope he's got a good lawyer , if he loses where does the money come from?
  • Bigger question then if the club loses where does the money come from

We want to hope a takeover happens so they can blame previous incumbents

    He won't lose.

Given the way that Airman's case was settled on the day and Varney's case didn't go to court I'll stick my neck and say this will be settled too.

Not good for the club financially or reputation wise if Kav wins.

I hope for our Clubs sake common sense prevails but not so sure now, Kav says he's tried several times but got nowhere. I understand dates being set and witnesses being contacted, which is probably why the Mail have got hold of it now as people being asked to put dates in diaries
  • Is that Kelvin McKenzie he is sat with in that pic?

The key word being "your", as in belonging to you, not the club. Of course if the club is in the right there's nothing for anyone to worry about, is there?

They just seem to act in a vindictive way, not only through their actions that resulted in the court cases, but also in they manner in which they appear to drag things out to the nth degree, causing increased stress to their hapless victims. Nasty people.

Charming...! Not sure if Wikipedia is a great source for information though...

"MacKenzie was a supporter of Charlton Athletic F.C. for 12 years but switched allegiance to Queens Park Rangers after Charlton's relegation from the Championship in 2009"

I wonder who he supports now then...

If I remember rightly he wrote in a paper that he was considering supporting another club, and asked what the readers thought he should do. They basically told him to stop being a Pratt and we were stuck with him.

Atleast he would unite the staff and get Varney talking to the Club. Doubt he could still go to court though so we won't get to hear what really happened so best he stays in Essex!

Kav would certainly unite the staff - he was a fantastic CEO to work for.
The only possible issue he would have is that very soon there will be no staff there that he knows!! more exits on the way I am afraid

Can't see Kav coming back as long as Slater is around and according to the SLP he's staying on for three months.

More departures? Anyone I know or can't you say? Really sad that people who stuck in during the bad times in league one are leaving now.

I think the 2012 staff have always been pretty united ...

Despite having some very different characters within the old senior management team that Kav put together - everyone had a great passion for the club and the people who worked within the club.
When the club were relegated to league1 there was a collective determination to return the club to the championship.
Airman is right the staff were united and all were pretty good at what they did!

How on earth does the club keep going?

And reducing the debts from previous regimes.
And coming up with innovative offers for fans.
And continuing to supply transport to fans, just like so many other clubs.

    It's a real wonder.
