fawlty Towers was screamingly funny, and they had the sense to stop making more before running out of ideas.

    Favourite Python moment:-

Pope. It's about this 'Last Supper' of yours Michaelangelo, I'm not happy about it.
Michelaelangelo. Oh no. It took hours!

When did John Cleese last make you laugh?

Blimey, it's only an observation. I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.

Big fan... When, where, how much?
  • Pythons Olympics is one of the funniest things ever. Tears every time.
  • The Piranha Brothers is my all time favourite
  • Life of Brian is the best thing ever made about left wing politics. OK, so there's some bible stuff in there, but anyone who has spent time in lefty politics will recognise plenty.

    Splitters!

I love a lot of their stuff, but I've got bad vibes about this. Jimmy 85's question is a very good one. For me, Cleese lost it around the time he founded Video Arts. Not sure I even found Michael Palin funny last time I listened to him, either.

Sincerely, hope I'm wrong but not expecting anything much.

Favourite sketch - probably philosophers playing football.

It has absolutely Nothing to do with left or right wing politics , it's just bloody funny.
In fact it's actually taking the piss out of someone like you who thinks its political .
    Watch it again .

Remember the whole family sitting down and watching Life of Brian when I was ten or eleven. It was the first film I saw which opened my mind to thing a little bit differently.

Last night when I was watching Fawlty Towers.

    Next question?

Apart from that, what have the Romans ever done.......

Just have a read of this. The Daily Mail at its absolute worst. Just a mish mash of lies, innuendo, hearsay and downright uninformed spitefulness.

    Quite unbelievable.

Saw the words 'Daily Mail' and passed. I will have to take your word for it... ;)

No you must read it. You need to be reminded how they report things.

Well, I did and... WHHHAAAT the fuck was that all about? Whoever wrote that really really doesn't like the Pythons that's for sure.

Exactly! Just doesn't get their humour at all.
  • "The homosexual Chapman, meanwhile, became a hopeless alcoholic who was often so drunk he messed up sketches"

    NICE!! :(

A 30 year old sitcom. Can anyone beat that? Clockwise maybe?

A programme he made over thirty years ago! Not exactly recent is it.

I answered the question. There was no time-scale disclaimer sonny.
Yeah you could take things literally all the time.... but sometimes you gotta use your brain, kid.

Look son, you don't get Python, that's ok not everyone does. No need to get all nasty though is there?

this piece is over the top ... BUT .. there is almost certainly a lot of truth included in it .. the world is littered with bands, businesses, marriages etc etc that have gone sour ... money is a great healer/compromiser/truce maker

If in doubt... make absolutely no sense? Ok...

  • I would still pay stupid money to see them live.

Walked past John Cleese once in Covent Garden and oohed and erred and sidled off before I made an idiot of myself. I'd get tongue tied and he had the biggest scowl on his face so didn't approach him.

Spamalot was great when I went. It was at the Cliffs in Southend with erm Matthew Kelly as King Arthur on his last night.

I'm not Reading the Daily Mail, but if the Chapman quote is anything to go by, I hope they get sued into oblivion.

Get off your high-horse Chirpy, you're in no position to accuse anyone of being 'nasty'.

We've already been over your previous incarnation, so pipe down.

Redneck more like. I've just looked up your previous comments. You don't say much but what you do is pretty pathetic.
At least you're consistent, you get off on having a pop at everyone: Me, Henry, Uncle, NLA.....
What a strange way to carry on? Well you'll be pleased to know that I'm going to follow my dear friend Henry's style and switch to ignore mode where you are concerned young man.
