Charlton After Defender

According to South London Press we are interested in 3 defenders
which one would you rather see at The Valley

1:Fitz Hall (Out Of Contract)
2:Michael Keane (Loan from Man Utd)
3:Alan Tate (Loan from Swansea)

My preference would be Keane

Hall or Keane for me. Preferably Keane. I see Wigan have an option on his brother but would love a swoop for both, and would surely make sense?
  • It's only a short term issue, as the 4 CBs we have (when fit) are decent enough at this level

Possibly the difference is Michael had some success at Leicester but Will has not been anywhere, we already have Piggot and Smith as young strikers not proven at this level don't think we need a third, We do need another forward but we need one with experience

not necessarily, we need a decent forward. Wigan want Will and I believe he is highly rated.

Highly rated is not good we need someone who is proven IMO how many highly rated players disappear
Freddy Adu, Michael Johnson and Jose Baxter just to name 3.
We have been struggling for goals with Yann out injured and Sordell being useless, we need someone with goals I know that's hard with no money but don't waste what little money we have on someone who might score.

Hall. His nickname 'one size' is the best in modern football
  • I work with fitz hall's dad. So him.

its not hard, its almost impossible. Theres not many out there, I think Keane could be worth a punt. Who would you suggest?

The obvious name is Obika scored some important goals last season, I would not want to rely on a 20 year old who has been out injured for 16 months with our injury luck.
And he picked up another slight injury for England uder 21s the other day to me he sounds very injury prone and that is a waste of the little money we have
  • Don't want more Palace. Soares Butterfield Hudson DOWIE. They are poison.

Fitz Hall would be a good shout. Good experience and definitley proven at this level. If we can afford wages i think he is a steady head we need. Still want a striker though.

Tate .. very experienced at our level .. I believe he was injured in a golf buggy crash a while back .. so he must be kept away from the courses if he signs

    I have asked him before.

Watford offered him another Deal but it wasn't enough.

Charlton had shown interest in the summer but were probably put off by his wage demands.

He has been out of pocket now since june so surely he will lower his demands as it seems he won't get the deal he wants.

I think he would be a good addition, Good defender and experienced.

  • He may fit all, but is he fit? We need someone who can slot straight in.

If/when he is fit he'd be a very steady signing for anyone in the Championship so I'd take him under the caveat he is fit to play straight away.

  • Wont be Fitz Hall signing as Watford have snapped him up - Would prefer Michael Keane as an England U21 could be a situation like Wigan have got with Nick Powell
