    Nearly all of the above were at sometime or another avaliable on the jukebox in The Falcon pub at Falconwood. It was a pub then, a good one too -with a cheeky little Fri/sat night disco on the side. Goochies! Ah, happy days.......

    Salad, thanks for mentioning the Mighty Wah! Great tune.
  • The Lion Sleeps Tonight - Tight Fit

    Come on Eileen was my first single purchased, 2nd was Pass the Dutchie.

  • 1982...I had just started working in the Thames Flood Barrier Estate, or whatever it was called then.

    I remember Pass the Dutchie being played to death.

    In addition to the above: Captain Sensible: Happy Talk; The Stranglers: Golden Brown;

    And some good cheesey pop music that'll have you singing "I can make you feel good" all afternoon:

    [cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]Chas n Dave - Ain't no pleasing you

    Now that is an absolute classic. Played it at my BBQ this summer and amazed my friends with my word for word rendition - whilst drinking Turbo Shandy!

    (I say "amazed" because they already knew I was a bit sad, but clearly did not fully appreciate the extent of my sadness!)

    Altogether now ......... "Now I ain't gonna be made to look a fool no more .........."
