At £800 quid I would there to be a 'this pot hole is sponsored by MrOneLung' plaque.

For £800 quid I'd want to have a second lung!

One of my ex-colleagues, STH and Charlton fanatic, is the tightest, and I mean tightest, person that I've ever come across. Never takes his missus out or on holiday. Always buys ASDA smartprice products yet he forks out £800 for a West Stand car parking place every year and his one indulgence....Just saying

Yeh was just thinking myself must be a huge nuisance waiting for the crowds to clear then your instantly stuck in the worst of the traffic

This, much easier parking by the Thames Barrier or on the road with the cab office opposite the Lib. If you're straight out you miss all of the traffic. Doesn't cost £800 quid either lol

you can't park on that road though as there are bays with a 2hr max

surely if you park in that car park you are in hospitality after the game and so miss the crowds, such as they are, anyway.

Yes you are right but not everyone goes back into hospitality after the game, some want to get away. I normally get to the ground at midday, entertain clients and friends in Legends and then watch the game. I have had enough come 5pm so like to get away.

For an extra £20 you get a space with a pot-hole to stick one of your wheels in, saving wear & tear on your handbrake...........
  • How much will the parking cost at The New Valley on the peninsula ?

I am amazed that five minutes after the final whistle there is always a queue of 5 or 6 cars waiting to leave the west car park, they must have missed a few last minutes goals by leaving early

No, it's a bit like travelling Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic. The nice stewards hold back the hoi polloi while you get fast-tracked back to your car.
