He could well be the best number 42 this club has ever had.

Looks like a central midfielder. Nice left foot and seems to have a bit of swagger/cockiness. Looks like he gets on with the crowd. Hopefully a nice early goal for us and get the fans onside.
More a wordsworth type player than a winger. If he can open up a defence then that's what we really need.

Big time here we come. ;-(

Do you actually know anything about this player? If so can you say why you're so upset with the signing?
I bow to your extensive knowledge.

    Go on then.

Surely views on his abilty must remain neutral until any of us have seen him play?!!
    Where's the fun in that?

He's probably no better than any thing we already have and they can't have been desperate to hang on to him.

That said,he looks thrilled at the prospect of sitting on the bench for God knows how long...

Has he got a song yet?

I'm sure he'll be called Astrid and anything from Abba will do!

  • I look forward to officially writing him off against Oxford.

He might be the best thing since Jordi Cruyff. But it's the fact that Roland has already started flexing his football muscles that has got me a little bit vexed.Shows signs of a man who clearly likes to get involved in the playing side of things. Will be a different beast for Powell to have to deal with.

I hope it was a case of powell asking roland instead of Roland telling powell.

But Powell knows the player so wrong to assume he had no involvement

Apparently his middle name is Ida.

  • How long till Powell comes out to say 'he is a player we have been taking for some time and are delighted to finally get it over the line. ' !!!

Hopefully it is a case of the new owner and Powell having a chat and Powell deciding this guy is worthy of a look at having played with him before. I think the Leicester link is the key in this and nothing else. Nothing to lose by having a look at him. Maybe a Johnnie Jackson type player with pace?

I read somewhere him referred to as "The new Patrick Berger ". He was pretty decent as far as I recall.

If we signed him straight straight away from the word takeover, he's obviously decent to some degree. I will be very surprised if he hardly gets played and or makes no impression on the pitch.
  • 'Everton to sign Michy Batshuayi from Standard Liege for 8m'

come on roland transfer him to us on a free!

You're not wrong. That was bloody quick. Is he any good though?

Debatable? Seeing as that powerhouse of European football, Standard Liege, are happy to release him for 6 months!

Ironically given our Udinese link up we had a guy on loan from Liege last season called Geoffrey Bia who was a winger (also played for Wolves a while back)

This meant Zola hardly used the poor chap due to the 3-5-2 formation generally used.

Knowing our luck you will get him and he'll score when we visit.

Hopefully this all works out for you btw.

When he gets sent back without even making the bench, we'll build a statue and retire the shirt.

I reckon if he came to us on a fraction of £8m (say £100k) I reckon his value would certainly increase being proven in English football

Unlikely, he's a Liege regular now and one of their top scorers
