Reza Ghoochannejhad is loved in Iran as he scored the goal to get them to the World Cup. (Wonder if the Asian Zidane, Bagheri , could have a word)

Bit of a late one to blossom but could be very interesting. Would be great to have a player at the World Cup too!

The other one linked has been the Israeli fella Dudu.

Don't forget Dom Dwyer too - wonder if that will happen

I'd love to get Reza in, looks a very good player

I don't bother looking at past records of players Powell signs. One word. Kermorgant.
  • Has this Reza Ghoochannejhad actually signed or is it just speculation?

Reza is speculation at the minute. Wouldn't be surprised to see him join though.

Wonder what this means for the proposed loan of Dwyer?
  • Reza does have impressive stats, hope that one comes off. Not sure about Ajdarevic but we will see.
  • Doesn't it look like SL are going to lose their top striker. Can't see Reza being allowed out the door as well.

AA sounds like a promising youngster who maybe lost his way a little bit. Would actually have a lot of the hall marks of a Powell signing - young, point to prove, known to him from Leicester. No reason, I think, to assume that he's had zero say in us signing AA.

As for the player himself, I'd have thought he'll be similar to Kerkar and hopefully a bit better. Midfield maybe not a priority, but beyond Stephens, Cousins and Jacko the squad looks weak so it's not like there's no room for improvement either. Welcome AA and good luck! Patrick Berger certainly liked scoring at the Valley so hopefully you will too.
  • reza hasnt travelled to train with the liege squad, also i think hes only played once this season in the league for them with one goal
  • One of the many two bit Charlie's who don't give a shit that we are going to be lumbered with no doubt. CP doesn't rate him from his Leicester days I've heard.

Bollocks to that, pardon my french. Even IF Powell does think that way, no way will he slate him when M'sieu Le New Boss is not even moved in yet.
  • Could be that CP saw an opportunity to win favour with the new owner. He knows the lad; needs some signings etc.. News of the possible signing preceded the official takeover announcement, so somone had been busy and it is not necessarily the case that the player was foisted on us.

A Standard Liege poster on ITTV says that Ajdarevic is a left midfield player lacking a bit of pace. Not played much. I think we have one of those already. Will give him a chance of course but am not excited by this loan.

Hopefully not the first of a stream of average loan players from elsewhere in the Duchelet empire. I would be surprised if this is a Chris Powell choice.

If he's played over 20 games for Sweden U21s he can't be that bad.

What else can any supporter do ? Am not going to write the player off before he has even started. Would love it if he turned into a player as good as KMG.

The way you posted was as though you've already decided he's sh*t but you'll give it a couple of games before you boo him

Just glanced his twitter feed - he speaks English excellently
  • Hope we get him, seems he has a very good goals per game return everywhere that he has been.
