  • Definitely. Belgium seems to be the gateway to europe on terms of work permits for noon-EU playets, as i was incoherently rambling on about last night

does provide some serious possibilities for a guy creating a group of EU.clubs

I recall some controversy a few years back. African youngsters lured to Europe with promises of accommodation, contracts, streets paved with gold, only to be abandoned if they failed to make the grade. Agents from Belgium and Spain were mentioned as the worst culprits .. like I say this was quite a while ago

Charlton have already been stung by the african football frauds that are passed round by agents to make money.

"People will look back at what we are doing in five years time and say Charlton had the vision to set this structure up around the world and from that have come these players who they didn't paying huge fees for".
Peter Varney, Charlton chief executive, 2008.
