If Tuesday is called off, should we simply pull out of the Cup?

I think so. Yes, it shows no respect for the competition, but it shows plenty of respect for Oxford and their fans having to constantly change their plans around

A bit of a non question, we dont do cups anyway.0

Yes & pull out of the league as well :-)2
-
Why not just play it at their ground and announce it today2
-
I suppose the argument against would be that in doing so we'd be perpetrating an unprecedented surrender, risk FA sanctions & reveal a crippling weakness to every other club in the Championship
really though, this pitch is too much0 -
no just reverse the fixture and carry on4
-
Think we should move it to the Olympic Aquatic Center - I hear there's less standing water there...4

we are still unbeaten in ages now that's the best way to look at it

no - just do a West Ham and throw it0

The game should have been switched to Oxford the moment the original tie was called off (assuming Oxford would be OK with that).0

Play it at Oxford. We won't progress much further anyway and more importantly we can't afford the pitch getting even worse than it is now. Shambles.0

Good point made on Football Weekly the other day if a club were to refuse playing the in the Cup the FA would likely never let them play in it again0
-
Play it at Oxford I say0

Not really a good point, though, when the FA Cup rules state that if you withdraw without satisfactory reason they can refuse to let you play in the following season's competition.IdiotDrugs said:Good point made on Football Weekly the other day if a club were to refuse playing the in the Cup the FA would likely never let them play in it again
No doubt there would also be a hefty fine and costs though.
Here's the relevant text:
7. PROVISIONS FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE COMPETITION
a.Any Club intending to withdraw from the Competition must notify its intention to do so to The Association and the opposing Club, not less than eight days before the date fixed for playing the match.
b.A Club failing to comply with this shall be reported to the Council, who shall have power to compel such offending Club to pay the expenses incurred and to take such other action as the Council considers appropriate.
c.If a Club decides to withdraw from the Competition after a drawn, postponed or abandoned match, notice must be given to The Association and its opponent at the end of the match.
d.A Club failing to give satisfactory reason for withdrawing from the Competition shall in addition to any other action considered appropriate not be allowed to enter the Competition in the following season and shall be liable to such fine as the Council considers appropriate.0 -
Play it at Sparrers. Should be enough standing room there.0
-
Ohhhhhh yeah great idea, ffs, you are joking right?0
-
Move it to Oxford. Call off Bournemouth and Birmingham now and get the drains sorted.3
-
Of course not, some people on here sound like they don't even support our club.0
-
It should be moved to Oxford. It's only fair -0

Is that nearer for you then Beds? ;-)Bedsaddick said:It should be moved to Oxford. It's only fair -
