Striker Jason Scotland looks set to be the next player to leave Barnsley as the Oakwell clear-out continues.

Scotland looks set to have his contract terminated and a move to a club in Scotland looks likely.

Barnsley are said to be signing a new striker this week. Rumours have been linking Adam Le Fondre but I just can`t see him coming to Oakwell.

Thoughts? I think he'd be good given he'll be on a free. He's a good target man and with our good wing play (esp. with wiggins and solly overlapping) he might be a great striker for us

    Barnsley adrift at the bottom of the league and you want to sign their cast offs!

    Scotland was ok 3 seasons ago. I'd loose the will to live if we went anywhere near him.

    On the rumours thread Leon Clarke was being tipped to go to Barnsley which doesn't say much for Scotland these days who is aged 34 although 8 goals in 19 appearances is not bad. All things considered, it's a no from me.

    I guess I'm the only one :( He seemed to me like a good stop-gap if his wages can be reasonable (which they surely must be given his age). Plus his scoring record is better than Church and Kermogant even with his age and even considering how bad Barnsley are

    Come on everybody, for God's sake lets get our heads straight on this one. We could write a book about cheap strikers who were a waste of time. I am not expecting Roland to throw money around, but our need is someone who can find the net not just run past it a hundred times.
