that's the worry. An hour or so of rain could see it become an issue.

If the weather is as good in Charlton as it is down here then there is no way the game will be off tonight, glorious sunshine and blue skys.

agreed , just like Saturdays weather !!

ten years or so away against Chelsea i seem to remember that we were mugged off as a result of Abramovich's decision to cover their pitch in sand so that not one blade of grass could be seen .Chelsea's players trained on it for a few days before the game to gain an advantage in terms of judging an horrendous bounce ,footing and speed of the ball over the surface .We had no prior knowledge of this and turned up ,tried to cope and lost two nil . Protests to the FA about the condition of the pitch and Chelsea's attempt to gain an advantage of course fell on deaf ears and that was the end of it .I think that we should be much cleverer in dealing with these types of issues and take a leaf out of Chelsea's book the FA having set an earlier precedent .

Dark clouds have arrived in North Somerset - a bit earlier than they predicted.

The worst of it looks to be over Bristol. A SW wind means it could pass North of The Valley.

I reckon a sizeable minority of people on here want there to be a rainstorm so that they have something to moan about!!!

An even larger sizeable minority of people want there to be a rainstorm so that they don't have to go!

just think you could count the attendance yourself without having to wait for the official figure.

If that doesn't wet your appetite then i don't know you like i think i know you.

Maybe we could buy 22 of these bubbles and insist games at the Valley are played in those for the rest of the season?

It's not rained all day. I've just been down to get tickets. I jokingly said to the lad in the Box Office, It is definitely on isn't it? I was not instilled with confidence when he replied, I'll just go and check! And he did, wandered off the ask some bloke if it was. 100% was the inal answer. Sitting in Upper West for a change.

Been informed by the Football League they are "in a constructive dialogue with the club regarding the pitch at The Valley". #cafc

Don't think a tidal wave mid way through the game will stop it from finishing.
  • I said on another thread that the pitch looks fine, however they just bounced a ball on the pitch and the ball didn't bounce very well.
