See he has just returned from USA, and is being given a trial by Yeovil. A left winger ex Hearts who was the subject of a £5m bid by a premiership club some 3 years back could be worth a look provided he has recovered from the injury which I believe stopped the transfer.

Would be well worth getting him in for a trial, great player for hearts and if fit is more than capable of doing the business in the championship0

Yeovil might not thank us for steaming in just yet.0

Vaguely remember him making an England squad not long ago?0

Played a game for the U21s but has now committed himself to the Scottish national team (hasn't played though).The_President said:Vaguely remember him making an England squad not long ago?
Think he's definitely worth a look if available on a free.

Be good if Yeovil could get him fit and then we take him (if any good)ken_shabby said:Yeovil might not thank us for steaming in just yet.

I think it turns out that he can't technically play for Scotland as he has less that five years schooling in Scotland and no biological qualification.Callumcafc said:

He was a very, very good player for Hearts a couple of years ago - and that was when they weren't the horrific car crash of a club they are now !0 -
Quality player for Hearts a few years back and still only in his mid-20s. Left sided midfielder / winger. Just what we need.0

No education and doubtful parentage? Sounds typically Scottish to me :-)se9addick said:

Yeovil have decided against signing him according to Sky.0

Must be worth a short-term deal until the end of the season?Richard J said:Yeovil have decided against signing him according to Sky.

You would have thought so.
The player was plagued by long term tendonitis before he went to the States.
Maybe that was an issue.
Or perhaps signing him would break Yeovil's wage structure?
There's a quality player there, if he keeps fit.

I'd love for us to give him a go but I get the feeling that any Janury signings will be loans coming in from RD's other sides.0

The last time we got a left winger that done okay in Scotland, didn't turn out so well......................0
-
We won't sign him because he doesn't play for Liege.0
-
That's a good piece written on him, he seems a decent lad. I'd love to have him in the team, he always looked lively at Hearts and the potential was there. I'd love to have him in some capacity, even a short term contract until the end of the season.0

I know nothing about the guy but why do we want someone who Yeovil turned down?0

Again as stated it could just be down to wagesRizzo said:I know nothing about the guy but why do we want someone who Yeovil turned down?

He was some player in his u21 days. Interesting.0

I think he would be out of Yeovil's reach, but we could be an option.
He is left footed but then so is Anil Koc.Unfortunately if we do sign this third player from Liege I suspect that Driver would not be on our list.
Edit just seen the you tube video and Koc is right footed, this means I think our squad could still benefit from a left footed winger.0
