    Looks like he's being done for a "technical" breach of the rules rather than something sinister - he says naively

    Seriously, this sort of "technical breach" and inappropriate paperwork has been going on for years, so it's nothing new.

    I know of two court cases where the evidence is in the public domain - involving Newcastle and Birmingham - where it is crystal clear that the paperwork is never completed properly and the commercial terms are, shall we say, "blurred".

    If I know this - because as I say it's in the public domain - then why haven't the FA done anything about it, rather than going for small fry like Luton? Pathetic!

    Maybe it's due to the amount of coverage he's getting but is anyone else finding Mike Newell's smugness a little grating now?
