A Charlton XI you never saw play

It's quite difficult to decide what your favourite Charlton XI is, because, for most people, the choice is so vast. Every player we ever saw was, in fact, either much better, or much worse than we remember. I mean, surely Derek Hales, Colin Powell and Richard Rufus can't have been consistently as brilliant as I remember them. And Peter Shaw must have had a good game from time to time. Surely? But the thing is, each of these players is indelibly recorded onto my memory. I have seen them, therefore I know (even though my memory is totally fallible) how great they all were.
But what about the players I didn't see? There are several players I never got the chance to see. Enough, in fact to fill a team several times over. So, here's my Charlton XI of players I never got to see play for Charlton, but would have loved to. What's yours..?
Sam Bartram
Derek Ufton - John Hewie - Billy Bonds
Bert Johnson - Don Welsh - Mike Bailey - Ray Treacy
Stuart Leary - Chris Duffy - Bill Robinson

At the risk of giving away my age, I've seen many of these. I vaguely recall Don Welsh playing briefly in a testimonial game. Can anyone confirm this or is my brain giving way to age as well?0

Chizz ..... you wouldn't have seen Ray Treacy in midfield ;o)
Tough battling central striker, good in the air and a rocket of a shot if he caught it right.
Proper number 9.
Terrific in combination with Matt Tees.

Right. In that case, I'm going 3-3-4.Oggy Red said:Chizz ..... you wouldn't have seen Ray Treacy in midfield ;o)

Sailor Brown, purely for when I was a kid and used to get programmes. Look at the players who played for both sides, he was always there...
Only other player I wish I saw play was Mark Hudson. Saw him standing on the edge of the box looking confused on a number of occasions0
