Lawrie wilson - 3 Game Ban?

I've justice that Lawrie is getting a 3 game ban. I thought proffesional fouls (denying a goal scoring oportunity or being the last man) only warrented 1 match bans. It wasn't a dangerous foul. I was wondering if someone could clear this up for me or if the rules have changed?
