Marvin Sordell

As Sordell has gone back to Bolton because of injury, does any one know if he will return after treatment or will his loan be terminated.I believe the terms were an option for him to end the loan in January if both clubs agree.

might as well - CP obviously didn't rate him so why have him here.

Hopefully that's the last we see of him. He's just not got what it takes.

Cue rambling about how he wasn't given a chance, how he should have started more games etc.

He was absolutely awful for us considering the expectation and cost. Simple as that.

No chance, Cloughie has more sense
  • Thought he would have done well on our pitch.

  • Sordell has not had a real chance has ability it's just that we have not seen it yet!......still may do if he has not gone back. Feel that he may still come good.

One of the positives of today. Would be nice if we had 4 decent striking options for the rest of the season.
  • Nice one Marvin , a few more next Saturday will do nicely ( i thought he'd left in the transfer window).

Would be even nicer if CP used them instead of putting 10 men behind the ball?

Were you there? he Took his goal today well and chased lost causes which he hasn't before and showed good link up touches. No service at all. Kermogant would be a donkey based on that service.
  • he took the goal well... and occasionally put pressure on defenders

but... he screwed up so many times today

    another poor performance from marvin

    sorry

  • There is this guy at work I hate. An absolute tw@t, or at least he used to be. You all know the type of person that for some reason irritates you beyond belief for some reason despite doing very little wrong. Even if he donated his entire wage to charity, I'd think he was an attention seeking bastard. The damage was done years ago. I can't help it!

This is what has happened to Marvin Sordell. Unfortunately I don't go to all the games so I have not had to endure the same prolonged disappointment but of the 4-5 times I have seen him, he has been disinterested at best. Yesterday however, I felt Marvin put a good shift in. Not just the goal but he did actually chase down the ball a lot and pressurise defenders into putting the ball out. He is crap in the air, deal with it. I wish we'd learn and stop passing it to his head. Have you seen the size of Emerson Boyce!!

What I did notice both at the game and on here was that people jump on his back very quickly every time something didn't come off or he didn't close down and doesn't get the plaudits for the good he did yesterday. Just like that guy I hate at work.

So Marvin, I saw you against Huddersfield and up at Burnley. You were dross. But yesterday you did ok. Keep putting that effort in and you'll win the rest of us over.

Sordell will score enough goals to give us a fighting chance if chosen. I am convinced Church will never do that.
Four goals? As a return, that is pathetic.

  • He was on Talksport this morning in the part where they ask 16 random questions of someone who is a good charitable person
They mentioned his charity that's against people trafficking
    I didn't realise he's only 22 , he came across ok , a quiet unassuming lad
Can't remember the questions except he answered 2 to how many toilets have you got
  • Is it any wonder the guy is lacking confidence playing for us?

I'd be very happy if we started MS every game and signed him in summer. He may be "disinterested" in chasing high balls hoofed up to him and a giant defender but otherwise impressed with his game.
  • As a new signing, running around a lot keeps the fans off your back for a few games, until they realise you're rubbish, whereas if the fans think you're lazy after one game, it can be very hard to win them back
  • got to admit i haven't seen the player you describe .......i have only seen him loose the ball/possession and very little else .... he might be a nice lad with 2 toilets, but he sure isn't a goal scorer or any good !!!

I was hoping to read he'd gone back to Bolton. Ah well.
