Yeah Owls - Dervite coming on in the 73rd minute, why didn't he stop their equaliser in the 56th - every time!!

Very difficult for him. Sounded like we had two problems today. 1) we were exposed down the flanks. 2) we couldn't hold the ball up and although Sordell and Reza looked a bit more of a goal threat they kept losing possession.

Yann might have helped with no. 2, but with Green and Harriott neither in form or reliable defensively, he put out the diamond. A perfectly reasonable decision as he's tried the square pegs n round holes thing recently and it hasn't worked. We knew we'd be faced with these sues though as soon as no midfielders came in yesterday.

Maybe the first sub should have been to bring Church on and see if he could have more of an impact holding it up, he's played okay as a lone striker before. In some ways adding Dervites height made sense as they had a lot of corners etc but it just sends out the message that we're going to sit and let you have the ball. It's a massive gamble, looks tactically astute when it works and foolish when it doesn't. I think he could have made subs today that had half an eye on in seeing it out but also gave us a better chance of wrestling back and retaining some possession. We probably still would have conceded eventually but it wouldn't look so much like we'd surrender the castle walls and retreated to the keep.

The end result is the same, but fans come away saying at least we and that always moderates most of our reactions, some people want to see it as Powell's fault whatever happens so they'll only pipe down if we win.

Days like this will only accelerate CP's sacking, something it desperately don't want to see, but I fear for him at the moment and suspect he might be gone by next week.

Of course I don't - I go to all home and around 75% of away games so I'm entitled to criticise... The reasons we lose are often the same - negative subs which invite on the other team and we concede - I'm just saying I'm fed up, I've had enough and , for the first time, the instigator needs to be held to account - I don't see him changing so, time up for me - it would be ANY manager, it's not personal to CP - I've met him and enjoyed the time with him but, it doesn't mean I can't have an opinion.

He's got no one else to pick today. Bringing on Pritch was perfectly reasonable as Wigan were getting too much space on the flanks and we needed someone who could play on the right with some defensive responsibility.

Only really two options, Pritch or Cousins. He got pelters mid week for playing Cousins there and now he's getting Pelters for playing Pritch there. He can't win unless it wins the game, but the chances of that are slim because he's working with players that aren't good enough.

I'm not blindly defending everything Powell does, but you have to bare in mind what he has to work with, and today it was not a lot. On Saturday it'll be Wilson there as it would have been today had he not got himself sent off on Tuesday which, again, you can't hold Powell responsible for.

Green could have been used on the right and told to actually move the ball forward and out of our half. It's a crazy idea I know.

We have given away loads of late goals by sitting back under Powell, Sheffield w and Cardiff last year. Brighton and others this year. Yes we have held out at times but we invite pressure from 70 mins in week in week out.

I would love Powell to stay and get him help with an experienced no 2 but unfortunately I think he is a gonna
