  • Does he mean 'standard window' or Standard window.

It's also interesting that there's only one new boy that he doesn't single out for praise.

Fantastic news , couldn't help being drawn to the 'Drama in Bexleyheath' story though, or the 'Massive crater that could fit a giraffe opens up in Bexleyheath road'

  • Williams and Bannan both available on loan from Palace. I'd take both of them, especially Williams, just what we need. Quality player.

  • Yes please... I'd happily sign Williams provided that Pal-arse dont want to screw us over with him making no effort!!

Williams looked a very good player last season and would be an excellent signing imo, surprised he has not stepped up although there may be reasons (injury etc).

Not sure they would loan him here though.

Garvan would be my choice out of those.
  • To little to late
  • I would think that players not included in Premier squads would already be aware in the majority of cases and therefore their agents would already be making their availability known even if unofficially. Hard to believe CP doesn't have several players in mind already unless it's RD that's going to be choosing them.

Trouble is Palace are the new QPR,signing too many players for a 25 man squad, add Grandin to the list as a free agent he would not add to our loan quota.

    What do you mean?

Dont care where they come from. If they will make us better and are willing to come, that's good enough for me.

Wouldn't read too much into that. I took it that he mentioned the players who were making their debuts.

I dont think we'll be after any more strikers.

It will be midfield and defence re inforcements now
  • Key criteria for any players we are after has to be those with proven Championship experience. The type of players that know what is required in this league to help get us out of trouble. No overseas players who have no experience of English football and especially the Championship.

A decent centre mid and left winger are a priority IMO.

based on recent history I doubt if the loanees will be from this country - not the way RD works............

(I'm not being a xenophobe or a racist, but reading the article it does make you wonder when you read the names of the 6 players brought in)

But we can't loan anyone from outside the domestic leagues now, they have to be UK based.

I think they've bought well. Dann, Ledley, Puncheon and Ince all signed. Kebe, Phillips, Dobbie and some spanish kid went out. Even if they come back down they've now got a strong side for the championship.

Thought I read on BBC site that Ince is a £1m loan to the end of the season. No?

What they've also got - is their team spirit back.

That's as maybe but, along with Patrick Kielty, a very unfunny comedian.

Now Punchean has his contract he will go backwards. Dann didn't stopp Blackburn going down and Ince is over rated. Don't know enough about Ledley to comment. They will head back down, finish an unlucky 3rd, miss out in play-offs and end up a Championship club again, no need to worry.
