    Not a sickie as such but discharged myself from hospital on the day of the Blackburn away FACup replay and the famous pitcher deflected goal.Result was pulling all the stitches due to the op and getting an infection which resulted in another two weeks sick! Who cares as I would of been more sick if I'd missed that piece of Charlton history.

    Went to Bury away midweek 68/69 season. I decided to call in sick from Euston station. My boss the next day told me he could hear the station announcers voice over the phone.
