Will b gutted if it's off. Groundstaff have worked so hard to get it in a reasonable state. We've had so much bloody rain it's ridiculous !

I hope they are, getting overtime certainly earning thur money

    They will be absolutely gutted.
  • I'm in Reigate too. How many other Addicks live down here?!

Raining again - but it keeps stopping and starting. As pointed out above, it doesn't mean a thing until the covers come off.
  • Very funny vid, but how thick are some of those players?
  • sunny and windy in Dartford.
  • Very sunny down here in wales, the game should be on
  • Another tropical heatwave at plumstead common. My back garden has been invaded by flamingos again. Typical!
  • 10;45 a mini monsoon at the ground------rain coming in horizontal . Had to stay in car for 5 mins as i was picking up our tickets. If that happens a few times between now and 4 PM cant see the game finishing if it starts !

Mmm it is a concern ...probably more to do if whether or nor the game can finish if the rain comes back
  • As my grandmother used to say:Enough blue sky to make pair of sailor's trousers.

No rain at the moment in Greenwich...
  • no chance if we get what happened between 10.30 and 10;45 a few times
  • Saw the pitch yesterday from the west stand near the jimmy seed end and it looked soaked still , and really muddy down the wing
Looked better towards the covered end
Any heavy rain gets on it for 15 mins and it could get ugly

More worried about the Ref. A fussy one might be worried about rain coming during the game. Pitch was very playable yesterday, it's still covered, club can't do much more. So much rain has fallen !
  • Bucketing it down in SE9 again.
  • as the pitch is covered, the earliest the Ref can have a look at it is after 13:30 when the McLeod comes off I suppose.

do hope it's not another late postponement only because I want to see our new players.
  • Anything coming out of the club (other than NWC)??
Ready to leave in half an hour, Grandson ready for his second game he's all excited. And dark clouds coming in and the wind is picking up again....... :(
  • Heavy rain in Eltham right now.
  • Instead of a white cover, why not use a green one with lines painted on it, like a huge subbuteo pitch.............job done.

  • Groundstaff getting hung out to dry again. Is there any chance of the club letting us fans know what's going on ? Is it still playable ? When's the cover coming off ? Has the match ref looked at it ?
  • Just had a truely awe inspiring deluge of epic proportions here in EC2.

Not sure whether the McDonald's breakfast or out of date chai green tea was to blame.
  • Bloody hell - we had hailstones ten minutes ago, now it blue skies as far as the eye can see...
  • I'm not going. It's clearly not going to make it. How's the rain still gets in the ground with that dome on it I'll never kno

the dome doesn't cover the stadium.

    It'll be on !

confident it will start as planned, no need for morning inspection so must be okay
  • It'll be on and will finish. Any rain we get will be just showers as the wind is so strong, it'll pass over.
  • We recall that the club had a meeting with fans' representatives after the Barnsley debacle and we are all going to be properly kept informed etc.

There is no message from the club, so it's safe to assume that the pitch is not at risk, no inspection is planned and the game will go ahead.

    ..........or is it ?
