To be honest I couldn't make out the exact words, but I did see Ceddy suddenly stare into the block.C_A_F_C said:
Any idea what the actual culprit said/done?Simon E said:I was right in front of the fan that was escorted out. He was innocent, and the fans around tried to alert the "A" team stewards, by identifying that actual culprit a couple of rows further back. But the stewards wouldn't listen. After they left, the fan that had identified left suddenly and moved elsewhere.

I just saw that link on FB and nearly had a heart attack, genuinely thought it was going to say Powell sacked.CafcTeckers said:

Can't believe we still have fans that would dare to yell racist abuse - don't they know the history of our club? Do they even realise who our manager is? Not that I'm saying we don't have fans that are backwards Neanderthals, sadly every club has, but if they want to shout about it, the spanners ground is down the road. Sad day for the club and we ought to be vigilant as fans as identifying the people who do this to the stewards.3

Judging by his "performance" today he'd miss... I never heard anything but then again I was too busy pointing out certain players flaws, namely that they are stealing a livingTheresonly2JJs said:If true I hope Ceddy sends a beautifully miskicked ball straight into those knuckle draggers' private parts

Totally agree.crookester said:Whether it turns out to be true or not, it's pretty stupid to think he would make it up because he had a bad game.

Now the statement has been made I hope those who suggested he made it up withdraw their remarks.
As for "I didnt hear anything" as Ooah Ah said unlikely that anyone but those right next to him would.
Evina was most likely advised to delete the tweet as it is now a police matter.8 -
I don't understand the need to abuse any of our own, it will not make them perform any better. I simply refuse to cheer those I deem substandard.
But to sink to the level of using race, creed or religion is beyond disgusting. TBH racists simply expose themselves as poor misfortunate idiots incapable of thinking for themselves.6 -
Wow...just wow.
Not the fact that it happened - every club has one or two idiots - but the fact that so many people on here and on Twitter are starting their posts with " if it's true", or suggesting that ceddy would make something like this up to somehow cover a bad performance. Or being sceptical just because they personally didn't hear it. Really? Some people even seem to be putting a poor performance down as a justification.
Seriously ashamed right now. As a club and a fan base, I thought we were better.
I wonder what we'd all be saying if this thread was on a millwall forum.17 -

Firstly, Simon E has it right. Think this thread should be closed. Innocent man arrested and despite several people identifying the actual culprit the Club made no moves to resolve situation. It's a disgrace on so many levels and I look forward to the Club and Danny Green issuing an apology and compensation to the innocent party. Having spoken to John Little I'm confident that he along with the numerous statements made to the police, will resolve the issue.4

If this is true (and it probably is), one can't get too upset about a few social misfits misusing a 'public forum' like twitsh** .. they are in a tiny minority .. the Police are able to track them down, let's hope they do so and take some serious action .. this obsession for many people with facebook, twitter and all the other 'forums' is very sad .... unfortunately, modern media could have been purposely designed for lonely outcasts who have nothing else going for them other than an ability to type vicious nonsense0

The Mensa membership amongst our support are already out, sending abuse to Danny Green - telling him he's not welcome here anymore because he's a grass.. We do have some right muppets.0 -
I thought I read that the tweet said "racist chants" hence the reason I immediately said I didn't hear anything.
The club have confirmed that something was aimed at him and that is unpleasant in the extreme, however, equally troubling is the fact that the wrong person appears to have been arrested for it.0 -
But it DID happen Mart? You seem to know something.
It's wrong the wrong person has been nicked but it shouldn't get away from the issue of it happening. I'm sure it will be resolved and with all of the cameras around - the culprit will be dealt with in time.2 -

I detest people who think like that! Like being a grass Ida bad thing in reference to racism

Yes it did Wss but apparently fans surrounding the incident knew less than Danny Green who was 30 yards away.0

We've got two seperate incidents being discussed here aren't we?0

Looks like this is a bit of a shambles - racist abuse yelled at a club that prides itself on fighting racism, one player vents anger on Twitter then deletes, another player wrongly identifies the culprit, wrong man is arrested & the Twitterati get mouthy with Green for being a grass. Not our finest moment.1

Why, I'm not being funny but yes maybe someone has been arrested and a player has maybe heard something but innocent until proven guilty.Dazzler21 said:Greenie Junior said:I'd put money on him lying tbh, tryna take the limelight away from how shit he was

I can confirm this statement. The stewards didn't want to know. Even my mate who sits in the west stand told the stewards that they had got the wrong bloke.Simon E said:I was right in front of the fan that was escorted out. Disappointed that this has happened, I thought that most people had grown up..!!
