Worst ever Charlton player

Evina! First touch is terrible, can barely kick a ball straight, cannot header a ball accurately. Actually shocked at how he is a footballer in the first place.3

I can think of a couple of candidates right now !0

Sordell0

Do you know what, I cast my mind back to answer this. And when the team was announced I had completely forgotten Wiggins was out. Evina did not disappoint. How on earth must Lennon feel as being dropped as a better player out of position. At least with Francis it was a confidence thing. Evina is just utterly fucking DREADFUL. Has to be right up there with the worst of them.2
-
After today I'm tempted to change to Evina, but at least Evina tried0
-
Evina is up there, in competition with Traore for the worst LB anyway.2
-
Well Djimi Traore has won the fucking thing. He's still shit!SELR_addicks said:
He plays in the Champions League and doesn't do too badly...AmericanAddick said:
French leagues being the key there. To be honest, with the state of the defense we'd be begging for Cory Gibbs, Sorondo or Traore right now.SELR_addicks said:
Diawara?! We'd be begging for him right now. Quality defender in the French leagues.AmericanAddick said:Iain Dowie has got to damn near be the worst manager ever to piss away eleven million on the crap he bought.
JFH, Pouso (did he ever even play?), Amdy Faye, Dickson (a striker who can't score!), Walton, Diawara.
My favorite nickname from that season was when people called JFH "Moneybank" because he was essentially stealing 40k from the club per week for his crap performances.0 -
Evina has put a great effort in today to pick this award up. As bad as mike small at the den for me today.0

Evina's definitely worse than Sordell, Sordell just doesn't care.0

Tough question. Probably the worst I've seen from 1998+ is Pawel Abbott. He was so shit it's unreal.
Sordell is running him close. He does not care at all. Utter crap. Should be no where near this club at all.0 -
I never liked Dickson or Benson. I just never cut out for our level
Then there's players like Simon Walton and that goalkeeper from years ago who only played once against man city in the 1970's.0 -
Don't get the abuse for Dyer, he was ok for us in 90/91 I liked him
Difficult to judge different era's but for looking completely out of his depth at the level he is playing at I don't think you can look too far away from our current number 7
That little cameo of lack of pace, crossing ability and football brain yesterday was extraordinary even by Green's standards
We must have better options in the U18 squad to bring on
Stealing a wage0 -
poyet was a good "ball winner " but sordell was an even better "ball looser"1

Amdy Faye0

Came here to say this. As a child, this was how I learnt that not all footballers were as good as Jim Melrose. Him and Ralph.Simonsen said:
As for a bad buy, you'd be hard pressed to beat David Campbell (ex Forest). We didn't have two bob in the bank but managed to chuck away £75k on him.0 -
This is an absolute no-brainer in my opinion. Let's all doff our caps to the disaster zone known as Geoff Hammond0

Jordan Cook he is dreadful.0

Tahar El-Khalej for me was worst player I have seen. Plenty of other contenders, including a few that only played one game - Pouso, Bagheri etc but I dont think I saw them play. Alonso in the JPT was also absymal. I may be in a minority, but I think Simon Francis is made a scapegoat. He is not a bad player at all, as he is proving by playing in a higher division than he did when he was with us. He played in a terrible side (that of 2010/11) but I dont think he was any worse than some of the other dross that was alongside him. That said, he wont be the first or last player to not play particularly well for us and then excel somewhere else!!1

Evina & Sordell are right up there, we will never stay up with these two in the team.1

From years gone by it has to be Harry Cripps we got him from Millwall at the fag end of his carreer and believe me he made Simon Francis look like Ashley Cole. On Saturdays performance Evina might be in with a shout.0
-
francis Jeffers he was proper rubbish. laughed my head off when Sheff Weds signed him..0
-
Gary Churchouse, Billy Lansdowne, Hugh McAuley, Tony Towner, Viggo Jacobson, Johnny Ostergard and probably loads I've forgotten in the mists of time - we had tonnes of dross in the 70's and 80's0

Can't agree with that - he chipped in with a goal or two and I suspect his experience helped push us over the promotion line that year. Very unfair Cripps was part of our promotion team in 74/75 and as redlanered says he contributed to the cause. If you must have an ex Spanner what about Eamon Dunphy?redlanered said:

Step forward Mike Small, two games on loan from the 'Ammers in 1994. What exactly was he (not) doing in that game at the Den?0
