What's the bigger game ?

Saturday - Wednesday away, Cup 5th rnd

Tuesday - Barnsley home, win would lift us out the relegation zone

So, what one is the bigger game ?

Would you answer any differently if you had the option to 'win one, lose the other' ?

If we draw vs Wednesday the replay will probably take place the date of the Barnsley game.

But Barnsley is a must win but in terms of money a FA Cup QF will be a nice payday for the club

Simples, lose to Wednesday and beat Barnsley.

  • Barnsley without question

We won't win the cup, but we could very easily be relegated.
  • Saturday needs to be win or lose, not sure we can cope with another replay, especially the heartbreak of losing it at home.

Tuesdays definitely the bigger game, get home fans on side and score some fleppin goals, good looking or bad looking ones!

fck sake, just realised i've got my dates wrong. Thought Barnsley was next week, not the following.

Could have gone next Tuesday, but can't the following :-(

  • We need to worry about QPR before thinking about Barnsley

100% Barnsley. Anything less than a win, for me, would be enough to suggest where down.

Sheffield Wednesday is a bonus fixture now. Give Lennon and Piotr a start etc.
  • Whilst we enjoy a cup game this Saturday the fixtures throw up:

Donny v Barnsley and Millwall v Bolton.

17.00 on Saturday will make interesting reading

    That's a bit optimistic!

If things like that happen to me I tend to let out a sigh of relief than a scream of disappointment .
    Different strokes and all that.

    100% Sheffield Wednesday

A long cup run is rare and builds memories, whilst relegation is, though bad for a week or so, always followed within a year or two of promotion seasons the memory of which excites for the rest of your life eg 74/5, 80/81, 10/11 probably of the three best seasons
  • Millwall v Charlton is the biggest game... Gonna be a huge step towards which team takes the third relegation spot (means it'll finish 0-0)

Really? although we will have games in hand they could be well ahead of us in 4 weeks time
  • sheff weds bigger match cos they is maaaaassssiiivvve , however we have bitched and whined and moaned for a decent cup run, its the fa cup ffs its the 5th rd against a beatable team,

100% the bigger fixture of the 2 plenty of league points to play for of which Barnsley are just 3

A win or two in the league is the most desperately needed thing at the moment. Id want to win both but 3 points at this stage takes full priority.

I thought reading other threads that our relegation was sealed on January 31st so is that not official yet? If it is then some cup compensation Saturday

So am I right in saying that if we draw with Sheffield the Barnsley game will be off to accommodate the replay??

    Barnsley.

An absolute must win how ever people try and spin it given that we are 99.99999% guaranteed to lose at Millwall.
