haha, I can appreciate what you're getting at - but to be fair to AB; the assembled "british media" (whilst technically correct) is rather grandoise for what will most likely be predominantly local papers and could probably fit in a reasonably sized living roomTEL said:

Let's be honest, unless a Championship team is close to getting into the Premier League (or has just been relegated) then there is not much interest from the major media companies.
I mean, if Millwall had been taken over by RD would people expect significant coverage?
This would probably best be done as an informal background briefing for local press and radio as I doubt there would be anything earth-shattering to report.1 -

One thing is certain, they will not have called this media conference just to tell tham there is no news. I am not going to speculate, just sit and wait. Although we have read a lot about Roland, this is our first real opportunuty perhaps to start to understand his plans for the future of our Club.0

He's going to announce that Charlton are the top dogs in his stable and all the other clubs he owns are our bitches and will invest millions in the summer to push us towards the champions league.
He will then save his script to be re-used for the next club he buys.....................3 -

Do you have any grasp of the media interest in Charlton or do you spend your whole time with your head up your arse? It's very difficult to get the national media to pay attention to Charlton, while the local media has pretty much collapsed. How is pretending otherwise in any way sensible?TEL said:
