Any good as a striker ?

  • A lot of the A1 is a single carriageway.... Get stuck behind someone unable to go a 1MPH above the limit and you're buggered until there's an overtaking lane...... Every half hour!!

All of the A1 (from North Circular northwards) is dual carriageway and large chunks of it are motorway standard. The exception is the section North of Newcastle heading on up to Edinburgh. If you're on that bit on Sunday you've got lost! (Granted, some of it is only two lanes which can be a bugger if you get stuck behind an HGV overtaking another HGV.)

Watching my son play football in deepest Sussex - largely because the cretins that run English football do not realise that Sunday is the day when most youth football is played and that holding professional games on a Sunday is hardly conducive to the future development of the game. They then of course compound the problem by setting up a system where most of the television revenue goes towards inflating players wages and precious little trickles down to the grass roots - we have the richest first division in Europe yet when it comes to qualified coaches we are one of the worse.

Hopefully, we can listen to some of the game on the radio when coming home.

Nervously sitting in front of the Tv waiting to see the addicks with my girls wrapped in their scarfs, bit of a buggar as its meant to be about 24 tomorrow in Cape Town, the girls might be sweating a bit. Guaranteed dad will be sweating even without the scarf.
