Maybe, but we can't be sure he wasn't offered a longer deal and chose not to sign it at the time. Others outside the first team have signed longer contracts, Pope, Holmes-Dennis, more recently Daniel and Munns, and from what Powell's said Poyet was one they saw potentially breaking through this season.Dave2l said:Stupid how his contract wasn't sorted....BEFORE he broke into the 1st team.
