Andy is a big Charlton fan and furthermore a very good friend of CP's (and AD), aswell as ALOT of contacts in the footballing world. May be match related or much, much more serious.. time will tell.

    Rumours like this do no good. Thought we were done with all this shit when Tony and Slater left. My guess is he is trying to make an excuse for his mate but hasn't thought of a good one yet. If there was genuinely something going on he should either tell his 'fellow fans' who deserve to know or just keep his mouth shut.

    Exactly, but the cryptic nature of it and 'I won't say no more' makes everyone start crapping themselves. Imagine if the players saw it and thought hang on what does he know that we don't?

    I've just screen captured it and only the one shows. People just wanting him to let the cat out the bag, understandably. Maybe he's been sworn to secrecy or we'll find out officially, as maybe its confidential.. hope we find out soon as I'm dreading it

    In your screengrab, he's got two people replying to his tweet, but I can't see those, even though I am now following him..actually I can't see his conversations below his other tweets, even where "view conversation' is offered

    Although I don't want to gratify the scaremongering by speculating, but what could possibly excuse the team for not turning up and putting in a performance that could get them to Wembley? Even if they've all been told their contracts won't be renewed surely they'd still want to play in a semi final? And even if Powell's been told he's getting sacked he's not about to sabotage the season is he?

    I suspect Powell been told his contract isn't going to be renewed along with a few of the players. As others say though all speculation and bullshit until someone says something meaningful.

    Well again without trying to second guess but if I was told on the eve of that match that my contract wasn't going to be renewed then I would be telling the teller to do one and find someone else to mind the shop at Bramell Lane. Pure bollox though ?

    If this was the case I would expect CP to be professional enough not to let the players know this before such a big game - so that is unlikely to be the 'truth' behind the defeat hinted at by Ansah.
