What did you all think to the away end and BL in general?

Sheffield has two great grounds. I like how Brammel Lane is a complete mismass.

Like both grounds, as they have "modernised"old stands, rather than new "post Taylor" IKEA stands.

However; ironically, I cant help feeling Leppings Lane should've been completely demolished and replaced with something completely brand new after what happened.

Ha, I was certainly there and singing my heart out as usual, stood in the Upper Tier. However, when you consider the occasion, the amount of fans we had and what was at stake....It should have been one of the most raucous atmospheres our away support has produced in years. Something like Fulham away in 2012.

Yet it wasn't even close. And before somebody else tries to say it - I'm not saying it is the reason why we lost!!!!

The thing is, at Fulham the players tried and even though we got stuffed we were playing well and fans responded to that. Yesterday the fans were great for the 1st hour, its just a shame the players overall never gave anything back.

GH is right though, at the start of the thread people were quoting it was the fans fault as we never made enough noise. The most pathetic thing i have ever read on this site and that is going some. If someone then proceeds to belittle someone then be a man and say to there face, alot of this goes on now, would half of the people that type some of the insults and make stupid comments say it to someones face rather than hiding behind a keyboard.

Even the most passionate fans in the country would loose their passion if they had to watch the football Charlton dish up. I thought the atmosphere was good until we could see we were not trying to win the game. We were playing for a 0-0 and got what we deserved. The team gave us nothing back

No, the atmosphere changed & the noise level dipped when the first goal was conceded, followed swiftly by another, courtesy of a cruel deflection.

If you think that should have been the catalyst for the players to lift up their heads & battle on with more urgency, then surely, the fans should have helped by making MORE noise ...

Or were you not at that famous comeback game v Cardiff at The Valley ?

    Just my opinion, of course.

I thought the atmosphere was good to begin with but as the first half wore on it became a bit flatter as the quality of football was garbage to put it mildly. Was very loud when they scored as it should be with 25k home fans. I have always liked Bramall Lane and I like Hillsborough as well. Two excellent old school( but modernised) football grounds.

Let's be honest thoe, if the players need the fans to sing louder for them to move and have a bit more ungency, then there is something very wrong with them. Especially when there 1 game away from going to the home of football

Well, once the second went in, I couldn't have screamed "YOU USELESS LAZY TWATS" any louder than I was. Does that count?...................

Bramall Lane was a proper football ground , must surely be the best ground in Sheffield.

To be honest FF, I think the fans knew the game was over, as the only chance in the first hour was the Hariott miss. Tough to sing louder when there was nothing to sing about. Enthusiasm wears off, eventually.

Not that it matters, but I've reread the thread and I honestly can't see anyone blaming the fans.

Oh ok then, you've forced my hand, Bramall Lane, is by far the best ground in sheffield, just as well Wednesday didn't come up against that awesome united team, they would have been trounced!

Tough indeed, but that was what happened in the Cardiff game that Fanny mentioned. I don't think anyone realistically thought a comeback was on the cards when we went 2-0 down in that game (albeit with more time left).

The Cardiff response was exceptional, though, definitely not the norm. I don't think we can expect the same thing to happen every time we go behind, as nice as that would be.
