    For my money , CP knew when we played QPR , that it would be the last time he would be in the dug out out at The VALLEY.

    The time he spent alone in the dugout after we won was unprecedented, he must have realised that the next match against Leicester was a no win situation and unless we got a result at Sheffield it would be the end.

    This is only my opinion, but if this was the case then it could explain the mood and performance on Sunday .

    Whatever the case CP and Charlton deserve better , but then I guess trust, loyalty, and our Clubs history count for nothing now under the BELGIAN. Mafia.

    why not? They are paid to play football and win matches. They are contracted to CAFC not Chris Powell. And they have a duty to their fans.

    Players normally work extra hard if they want a manager to stay, imagine if we had won 3-nil on Sunday, no way could Powell had been sacked. And a massive personal prize at stake, the older players may never get a chance to play a Wembley, while the younger ones would see it as a great opportunity to shine in front of a massive audience

    Surely if he knew before the game he would have come over to the fans at the end?

    I don't think he knew for sure when but he did know the writing was on the wall.

    I would guess that he wouldn't want the last interaction with fans to be receiving abuse.

    He was quite right not to come over to the fans at the end - few of us clapping the players, most spouting vitriol. Hope those people are happy now.

    He would have been booed if he come over... Not a nice way to say goodbye, was probably in the back of his mind.
