Thanks for posting. An interesting read.
Who knows whether this will work out, but if Duchatelet is not planning to spend any money then he'll need to do something different and creative, especially in the player development area. In that context this appointment appears to be very logical. Even if successful, however, the impact is unlikely to be short-term.
Looking forward to seeing how the squad develops over the next eighteen months.0 -

Leaving aside the fact that in Chris Powell we have lost a manager who lived and breathed Charlton (although I find that difficult to do) - surely only an incurable 'Polyanna' could believe we're now better off with Riga.
