What about every other 3 mins for the whole 901
-
I would applaud all game if I thought RD would get the message!!!
Absolutely! A great idea.3 -
I am normally against this sort of thing however because he was not given the good bye he deserved i would join in. But it has to be a one off.0
-
As a one off, i think its a brilliant idea.
Get some public notification and thanks out the way, and then move on.
BRILLIANT IDEA0 -
I think this is a message for Powell and something we should do at an agreed time for a planned duration.0
-
Agree as a one off.
0 -
lets do it then0
-
understated and dignified, just what he would sign up to.
The closing of an old era at the start of a game, and the moving on to the new one.
Surely no one could say this is a bad idea ?0 -
Perhaps a rousing chrous of Chrissy Powell, Chrissy Powell, Chrissy Powell (Here we go tune) on the 3rd minute?1
-
Even I agree that this is a good idea as a one off. And I'm usually against stuff like this.
Whilst singing stand up for Chrissy Powell?0 -

There would be no better way for us to say thanks.0

I think it is ridiculous, one minutes applause should be as a mark of respect to the memory of a person who has passed away. I honestly can't believe some of the hysterical overreaction on here to a football Manager getting sacked. I get it that he was a Club legend a very nice man but we are bottom of the table. Parkinson was sacked when we were in a play off position. There was no wailing and gnashing of teeth when he left. He was a very nice man as well. What next, hire a plane and fly over the ground with a banner trailing behind saying We love you Sir Chris.15

Its a one minute applause. If anyone is over reacting about anything its you.dickplumb said:I think it is ridiculous, one minutes applause should be as a mark of respect to the memory of a person who has passed away. Mark of respects are done before the game.
Fans do their own ones during a planned time. Everyone said its a ONE OFF and it would go a long way to draw a line under an era most of us have enjoyed.15 -
Parkinson had not turned the club around and won a league title with record points.dickplumb said:I think it is ridiculous, one minutes applause should be as a mark of respect to the memory of a person who has passed away. If you dont wish to do it dont that's fair enough.6 -
Someone should break into the big screen on the third minute...3
-

-
I'd certainly join in, If you don't like the idea then don't join in it's that simple.0

Whats wrong with a one min applause?Yann897 said:Are you lot serious or on a wind up , we have a new manager now let's get behind Him and the players can't believe some of the stuff Iv read , booing ect , how is that helping you really think the players wanna hear that , your grown men sort it out !
One min applause. Move on.
Not really sure the players will mind us saying thanks and good bye as I am Completely certain thats exactly what they did yesterday at the Training ground. No one is getting hysterical.1 -
I don't see a problem with this it's a thanks and good bye, would be great if it incorporated Stand up if you love Chris Powell, then after it all sing Jose Riga's Red Army.
A nod to the new manager that he is welcomed but a solid Goodbye to CP.1 -

I don't see what's wrong with it.
We didn't get to show our gratitude before he left (certainly not at the end of Sheff Utd) so this way we can show our appreciation early in the game before moving on.*
*until we go 4-0 down in the 20th minute and everyone can start singing Chrissy Powell's Red and White Army.0 -
Great idea.0
-
Huddersfield to score after 2mins and 59secs then3
-
I dont usually get there til the 5th4
-
we should all just scream "ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh" until he comes back out of the tunnel16
-
I like it. It's warm and positive, no malice. Just like the man himself0
-
That'll show him we mean business!1
-
This is a great idea but only if the majority of people in the Valley know about it, with all due respect to CL it does not reach the majority of the fans so how are you going to inform the masses, if you don't then there is no point in doing it.0
