I think people will catch on and get it....0

Twitter is a good way of spreading a message like this.0

You're clearly not though, so carry on sonYann897 said:Are you lot serious or on a wind up , we have a new manager now let's get behind Him and the players can't believe some of the stuff Iv read , booing ect , how is that helping you really think the players wanna hear that , your grown men sort it out !

well anyone on Twitter (or Fbook), please RT the last @CharltonLife tweet, or just simply get the message out there.1

I'm for it. A minute of 'Stand Up for Chrissy Powell' would be appropriate, not a minute's clapping, followed by 'Jose Riga's Red & White Army'. A great send off for CP but also showing our support for the new guy who needs all the help he can get.8
-
I like it.0

I think that this is a crap idea. I am going tonight to support the team, not to try and cause disharmony.
Furthermore at the final whistle at Sheffield on Sunday Chris Powell never even looked at the Charlton fans let alone applauded them.
He shook the hand of every Sheffield player and then went down the tunnel not even looking back at the Charlton fans.
So I will remain seated in the third minute and watch the game.

Great idea. I'll be doing it in my armchair. It will also show the new bloke what a great bunch of supporters we are. Get it out of the way early, then concentrate on getting behind the team.0
-
Count us in. We both feel a need to say thank you to Chrissy publicly and this idea offers us a positive and dignified way.1
-
There's always one....
Fantastic idea0 -

I like the idea of a minute for Chris Powell but think it should be followed by a song/cheers for the new man in charge.
We support the club first and foremost, we need to get behind Riga if we want to have any chance of success.0 -

I think there are too many people in this day and age who completely misunderstand the word respect!!dickplumb said:I think it is ridiculous, one minutes applause should be as a mark of respect to the memory of a person who has passed away. I honestly can't believe some of the hysterical overreaction on here to a football Manager getting sacked. I get it that he was a Club legend a very nice man but we are bottom of the table. Parkinson was sacked when we were in a play off position. There was no wailing and gnashing of teeth when he left. He was a very nice man as well. What next, hire a plane and fly over the ground with a banner trailing behind saying We love you Sir Chris.

Think this gets the balance right between showing our feelings about Chris without it getting in the way of supporting Jose Riga and the team.
It would be good tonight and then move on.We need to win tonight because I do not think anyone wants to sample the delights of League One again and suddenly a victory would change the complexion of Saturday against the Spanners.3 -
Keep a eye for me too pleaseLurker said:

Moaners gonna moan.
Haters gonna hate.
Very good idea.0 -
Jesus some of you. You moan about Powell being the manager and then you moan about people still liking him after he's gone. Have a day off0
-
Brilliant idea. Is there anyone on here who can let Powell know its happening?0

A tweet to Andy Ansah would let CP know.Valley11 said:Brilliant idea. Is there anyone on here who can let Powell know its happening?

How about some spontaneous vomiting at 24 minutes - representing both our league position and goals scored ?10

Laugh. I nearly choked on my sandwich. What is going on? We need to get behind the new boss. Dickplumb has got it right. Get a grip.3
