Course he is, as is pretty much the whole squad I reckon. Wiggins will be sold for decent money too.SELR_addicks said:He's off.

You cannot seriously expect current players to come out on Twitter and back CP or criticise RD - not sure what that Ben guy on Twitter was hoping for.
Very good article in the Mail by Martin Samuel, on the whole sorry debacle.

We've seen on this thread that many people in football respect Chris Powell.
He has earned that respect over many years.

Agree with that completely, just don't think anyone should expect current squad members to pipe up on Twitter.
Interesting to see where Powell gets his next gig - can't see a Prem team taking the gamble, so maybe would get a go at one of the relegated clubs like Fulham or West Brom?
As you rightly say, he is one of the most respected people in football, so can't see him being out for too long, and expect him to then go on to very bright things.
A very sad and dark day for our club IMHO.4 -
That is a strong criticism of RD. I fail to see how anyone can defend what's going on when people in the professional game, not just journalists, are coming out and saying similar things. Whether we stay up or not seems almost irrelevant as to the future of our club.Kenny Achampong said:You cannot seriously expect current players to come out on Twitter and back CP or criticise RD - not sure what that Ben guy on Twitter was hoping for.

Agree, the only thing that we can ALL agree on is that relegation would be a disaster for EVERYBODY involved, so everything must be done to avoid that.
However even if we escape the drop (which I just can't see happening, and I am a definite 'glass half full man', then what does the future hold beyond that?
A series of short term loans from abroad and undercooked youth players, none of whom see any long term future at CAFC?
Very worrying times indeed.0 -

It's a brilliant and insightful piece of journalism. Feels so hopeless right now.1

Not a great lover of the DM, but always make time to read Martin Samuel as he has an engaging habit of getting to the centre of a debate rather than skirting round it.

Funny old day finding myself in agreement with both Joey Barton and the DM.5

Sounds like the Duchatalet club family twitter feed has finally lost its patience with us!

What is that account? I can only assume that it's not official...0

If Tim Sherwood can manage a team like Spurs then Chrissy ought to be looking at Old Trafford!Kenny Achampong said:Interesting to see where Powell gets his next gig - can't see a Prem team taking the gamble

Much as I'm in the mood to blame RD for a whole multitude of sins, I'm pretty sure that he can't be behind this!0
