Umm, the West Brom link is interesting what with Dean Kiely being their keeper coach!

Poyet for me is the most likely to sign strangely enough.
  • Think u might be right? To many youngsters have jumped ship for the bright lights of the prem To early for the $$££ and end just being loaned back to league 1 side and disappear!

Did the majority not prefer Alnwick to Hamer before he went.
Morrison would be a big loss.
JJ depends what league we end up in he is not fit/fast enough for championship but would still do a job in league 1.
RD will not let Poyet leave his network yet.

Expecting Thuram to start from now until end of season (I guess we will know for sure tonight). However we still need back up so surely Hamer will stay until the summer.

Yes but there wasn't much between them and the majority now prefer the tea lady to Thuram it seems.

Doesn't have a choice. Contracts up at end of season and soundbites from him have not been positive. Will take a hell of a lot for RD to convince Poyet to stay I think.

We don't have a tea lady anymore after Thuram punched her!

Hamer is okay, has his weakneses put he is much better than Thuram. I will despair if Thuram is first choice for the rest of the season

In his defence it was a total accident. They're all in the canteen eating when the trolley went past and someone said "quick Thuram, catch her for me will ya" and he just reacted naturally. Could have happened to anyone.

I for one will start panicking if Thuram is playing tonight, it would prove the whole puppet thing, would be interesting to see Big Pete play though, Powell obviously thought he wasn't ready.

Think his name needs to be sung tonight, especially if he isn't playing

I'd be very suprised if he does. He was the only one of our current playing staff to tweet yesterday about Powell. I'm probably putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with melons, but I read that as the players have been told to keep quiet about it and Poyets response was "do what you want, I'm off at the end of the season regardless".......................

Poyet's profile is very high at the moment - promising youngster, famous dad and flowing locks. I imagine a lot of clubs are sniffing around him

I imagine he is somebody the club will push the boat out to keep and if he remains in the side and he knows he is at a club who will sell him in the blink of an eye - he might think it worth staying for a bit longer.

Possibly, but then again he is also only 18 and probably hasn't wised up to the "do's and dont's" just yet.

well that's just stupid as he's clearly the best keeper we have left, albeit he needs a shave badly
  • Call me psi misting but I see RD axing:

    Morrison
    Jackson
    Hamer

Anyone not SL or networked with them!

I think they'll all be gone in the summer. If they haven't made an effort to sign them by now, then that's a signal that I wouldn't ignore as a player. The manager that they looked up to was treated harshly. People see how others are treated by "firms" in their industry and "firms" live and die by these reputations. Charlton under Duchatalet have been dealt a big blow. And if Roland isn't going to paper over the cracks with money (a la Abramovich), and he has stated as much, good luck in the summer transfer window!
  • Yes Hamer's contract is up end of this season. If I was the last remaining few, I'd jump ship!!

Hamer is a good keeper yes keepers make mistakes & 9-10 those mistakes lead to goals I still believe hamer is one of the best keepers in the championship hence why there is 7 clubs after his services he is the best we got
We get to Thurman again I don't believe any Charlton fan has anything against him again it's down to the owner bringing in him he doesn't speak a word of English which won't help he does need games to settle but in the situation were in hamer is the best option.
Thurman makes some good saves which you would expect from a former u21 French keeper if we go down I imagine he will be the new number 1? Hamer will be released with nick pope being number 2? Allowing Dillion Phillips to go out on loan.

Let's hope we get out of this mess but again the problem for us isn't between the sticks it's at the other end we have sold our best striker & I can't see where the goals are going to come from.

Let's get behind Ben Hamer instead of criticising him were to quickly to forget the good things he has done.
