What a superb piece of affectionate but piercing journalism. Thanks Henry for posting it.

"greatest ever manager musings" - what planet is he on? I take it the pair are close.

Nice gesture by the players to reaffirm their commitment to the employer who pays their substantial wages under the terms of their contract.
  • why hasnt he told us where nolly is

In any business the quality of the leadership and the general culture impact on morale and performance. Turning up on time is one thing, being fully committed requires the leadership to be convincing and inspiring.

And Chris Powell, despite being poised to join Jimmy Seed and Alan Curbishley in Charlton’s “greatest ever manager” musings was its victim.

Poised = to put into readiness.

    The mercury :-)
Seriously though his reports waffle on trying to be clever, find them quite boring to be honest.

I got a few lines through before I realised!

Great to see Kev back in the press room on Saturday and as always great to read his unique reports.
