Sky Sports Interview with Belgian Football Journalist on Jose Riga

Just stumbled across this on the Sky Sports site....
http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/charlton-athletic/9209486/the-lowdown-on-riga
Couple of key take-aways...
1] The Belgian journalist makes the point that JR has an excellent reputation for improving young players and bringing then into the first team - this is something RD will be keen on for several reasons.
2] Also says that JR likes to play 4-4-2 with a fast attacking pair and plenty of movement in midfield, that would suggest there will be no target man coming in and that he will prefer pacey players - could be bad for AA and JJ.
3] He also makes the point (made on here already) that many of RD's decisions are often met with strong opposition but that they ultimately turn out to be correct.

Just a thought .... But If JR hadn't said that RD's decisions were ultimately correct ..... I doubt if he would have been offered the job at CAFC in the first place or that he would remain very long with us!

No, this was the journalist saying that about RD not JR.On-Me-Head said:3] He also makes the point (made on here already) that many of RD's decisions are often met with strong opposition but that they ultimately turn out to be correct.

Thanks for pointing that out OA
I'm blaming that oversight on my age, which sadly is much closer to 'old' than 'young' : )1 -
Jose riga to be head of academy at end of season?0

Would make sense. Consistent with the practice so far of changing our strengths and not our weaknesses.AdamAddick said:Jose riga to be head of academy at end of season?
