Anelka leaving WBA...

With immediate effect. Surely, he would like to don a Charlton shirt for the remainder of the season just to keep his eye in? DISCUSS.

How does that work? Surely a player can't unilaterally terminate a contract - any player looking for a transfer would just do the same.

As if his gesture at West Ham wasn't already proof enough that he's a moron.

Won't the club still hold his player registration though?

Hasselbaink the 2nd, no thanks. Anyway, he doesn't play for FC Duchatelet so we're banned from signing him.

Best for him to leave the club. Caused them embarassment. His actions have caused them to lose their shirt sponsor.

Not right for our club, sorry!

    hope so.
  • It seems like a strange story. He resigns. WBA say that his contract termination is illegal. Then, they sack him. Am I missing something here?

Probably just thought it wasn't worth the hassle of putting up an argument and making him stay.

QPR could do with a striker, wouldn't be surprised if they try to tempt him with a last bit of pay

No thanks, he can take his anti-Semitism to some other lesser club willing to put up with such a loathsome individual.

An unapologetic racist. He should have pushed rather than be allowed to jump.
