A lot of threads of a similar sense but does not ask the direct question.
Personally my top 3:
1. Jimi Hendrix
2. Stevie Ray Vaughn
3. Jimmy Page
I love Little wing (hendrix and SRV's version) pride and joy, stairway to heaven.
Really don't like Eric Clapton but I guess that's where personal preference comes in.
The blues can sound great but even though I listed a couple of borderline blues guitarists, it's not really my fortay.
Favourite guitarist and why?
