Really? Where did you read this? Disgusting if true.ross1 said:Henry Irving said:No Thuram? Is he injured? Not seen anything about him not being available.
Does not want to be a reserve, refused to go to Leeds8 -
Fear for Joe uptop tonight, whats the point of getting Obika in to put him on the bench and play someone who wasn't rated highly at Gills, he was thrown in against a poor team in Millwall and struggled, same again here I fear.1

Reza on to soften their defence with his power before the weaker Obika comes on for the easy goals. Genious I say.2

Evening everybody. leeds don't have #player' so I will do the match thread from 'our' feed. Please god it isn't Emma or Jamie.
Apologies in advance for my slowness, and my typos.
Big respect to the travelling Addicks.
P.S. if there is a stream I will be watching that.1 -
Match thread could be depressing tonight, going on the build up's reaction zzz may just check sky sports for updates/ BBC0
-
Reza? Pigott? Love them to prove me wrong but not convinced by them one bit.1
-
Has Match Day Live not started yet or is it just me who it is not working for?0
-
anybody have a stream then? ... otherwise im following seth plum0

Nothing coming through for me yet on any platform.0

Quite often players come back stronger from a loan , ie Parker so hopefully piggot will aswell , and as for obika I think it's obvious everytime he's played well for us is when he's come off the bench.Atletico Addick said:Fear for Joe uptop tonight, whats the point of getting Obika in to put him on the bench and play someone who wasn't rated highly at Gills, he was thrown in against a poor team in Millwall and struggled, same again here I fear.

Buzzing for Piggott, I'm hoping come tonight there's going to be some humble pie eating!7
-
Could be 4-3-1-2 with Astrit in the hole.
Or perhaps the same 4-1-2-1-2 that we saw against Forest at home.
Saying that, there's about a million and one different formations you could select with that team, plenty of room for adaption in the game!
Would have preferred to see Obika instead of Reza but that would be my only change, let;s hope Reza proves me wrong.
Really hope Pigott does well, massive opportunity for him.
Good to see Dervite back aswell, we seem much more solid when he is playing and playing well. Plus I think he suits Riga's style much more than Wood. We could do with a similar goal to the one he scored last time at Elland Road.
Foolishly, I fancy us to tonight for at least a point, we shall see!
COYR!!0 -
Personally on the evidence so far calum, Obika, or Sordell are a better choice of start then reza. I hope he proves me wrong though.1
-
off topic question ... anybody know whats goin on with michael smith? i prefer him to piggott TBH1
-
I'm expecting us to be bullied.
Pilot played Against Millwall and was bullied hard and we didn't see him several months. I can't think of a more hostile place to go and try to make your mark and suspect he will get shit kicked out of him for 45 minutes before being replaced1 -
big difference with JR is that he makes changes sooner rather than later, so Reza first half and Obika secind half0
-
Pretty amazed Pigott is starting but good luck to the lad. COYR.1

Reasonably happy with the team. Pigott did pretty well when he came on at Derby, Wood was poor so I'm glad Dervite is back in. Wouldn't have played Reza, he was also poor at Derby but glad to see AA back in as well.0

Anybody getting any sound anywhere?0

Disappointed to see GougeOnHisNads start but hoping to be proved wrong0

The "anti-Pigott" comments on here are clearly made by supporters who didn't see his cameo role against Derby. Pigott was clearly much stronger physically than he was before he left us and he was good at holding up the ball, when played to his body or feet and thus brought other players into the play. Time will tell, but it is wrong to put him down on his history during his football development rather than the "now". let's give him the benefit of the doubt.9

Sorry but Piggott up front smacks of desperation (hope I'm proved wrong though and it's not like our other strikers are on fire currently so fair play to Riga!)0
-
Well... the Gills fans didn't seem to rate him but Piggy has obviously done something to impress someone. Bold trust in a youngster by Riga or a last roll of the dice by a desperate man? Lets hope he makes a silk purse now Pigg's 'ere.
Looks like it's probably nominally a 4-4-1-1 but expect AA will roam around a lot and Reza won't be expected to track back that much. Very important that we give it to Piggott on the deck and that AA and Reza get up and around him quickly so he actually has someone to lay it off to. Hopefully we can retain possession and get Wiggo and Lawrie overlapping.
Good luck Joe.1 -
I can feel 3 points in my bones tonight....0

Is this is on the radio anywhere (not player)? Or is there actually a stream?0
-
Don't get me wrong what I said about him being bullied v millwall was fact however I do know that he is a very good footballer and hope that he has strengthened himself and will make an impact.PeterGage said:The "anti-Pigott" comments on here are clearly made by supporters who didn't see his cameo role against Derby.
