Poyet's contract mentioned on commentary

I haven't seen any mention of this yet - so I hope my growing suspicion that I imagined it proves correct - but did anybody else hear one of the Player commentators say they spoke to Gus Poyet about the contract situation? It happened just before they went "live" again, for the second half; sounded like a mic left being left on.
Didn't really want to mention it last night, all things considered...

I certainly heard it too........ puts a dampener on things! Having spoken to Gus, commentator was clear Diego was going.0

I heard it too. I don't think he finished his sentence though (or at least it wasn't picked up on CAFCPlayer) so it was actually something like "Having spoken with Gus....."0

All a bit irrelevant in my view, unfortuantely he is too good for us and would be leaving with or without a contract.
We will get compensation when he leaves due to his age although being in contract might have meant we'd get more money for him.
Fact is that he is currently one of our best players so if his contribution play a significant role in keeping us up this season he can leave in the summer with my blessing...it was only a matter of time anyway.1 -

Well he will not be joining barca as they have been banned from transfers for the next two windows due to breaking the rules on signing minors.0

This whole Barcelona thing has me laughing.
The day Diego Poyet plays a first team game for Barcelona I will eat my left bollock.
I like him, we all like him, but for Christ's sake get a grip!3 -
Not correct at all, we spoke abut how to pronounce his name, nothing else10

Hah. Talk about hearing what you (don't) want to. Thanks for clarifying that.PeteF said:Not correct at all, we spoke abut how to pronounce his name, nothing else

My mum's a Chelsea fan and when Gus joined we always used to call him Poy-ay and then felt like idiots when it turned out it was pronounced Poy-et. Are you telling me after all these years we were right all along??0
-
I've always pronounced it as Poy-YET. Mind you, we were all pronouncing Kermorgant wrong.0

I heard the eluded to "open mike" and it mentioned speaking to Gus regarding the pronunciation of his name only.......I did not hear anything further other than "that will do for me"0

We'll probably release him when he wants to stay. Typical Charlton.0

been told by my Mum (who I expect got it from her youngest son "JimmyMelrose" as he is the linguist of the family) that as he is of Uruguayan extraction it is Poyet with a t - it would be Po-yay if he was Spanish.1
